Kit includes: Short Knife Jig SVM-45, Long Thin Knife Jig SVM-140, 4000 grit Japanese Waterstone SJ-250, Diamond Truing Tool TT-50.
The Japanese Waterstone SJ-250 (for Tormek T-7, 2000 and 4000 machines) is designed specifically for extra-fine grinding and is excellent for obtaining the best edge on knives. So fine that you don't want to use the leather honing wheel after using the Japanese stone. The Japanese waterstone is 4000 grit. It is dressed with the Diamond Truing Tool TT-50, and is periodically cleaned (during use) with the Stone Grader SP-650. The SJ-250 is so fine, it will not grind out nicks or change edge angle, for this you need to use the standard grey SG-250 stone.
This kit contains the Diamond Truing Tool, which is essential for initial and periodic dressing of the SJ-250 stone. If you already have one of these, we have other kits on this page without this tool.
